Our Proud History and Serving the Future of Physics in Medicine
Overview:
Comprehensive Physics & Regulatory Services (CPRS, Ltd.) grew out of a small group of dedicated
medical physicists who appreciated the urgent need to provide high quality physics services to
smaller centers that could not afford to have full time physics support, yet required professional
support. The concept of building a multi-talented physics group that offers premium service support
to medical centers started over seven years ago. CPRS, Ltd. has continued to grow and develop over
the years and now serves as an industry leader in Medical Physics support. CPRS services include
full and part time, on-site physics, quality assurance, acceptance and commissioning services,
physician peer review, and treatment planning. CPRS also recognizes the need to provide high cost
technology through shared services. CPRS’s expertise in imaging technology made us the first to
provide Internet based 2D and 3D treatment planning (ONLINE TPSSM).
Today, our clients range from the world-class Cancer Treatment Centers (CTC) around the world to local
and regional CTCs. Our management staff and senior physicists have worked as a team for over ten years.
We have been an independent corporation since July of 1998.
Experience:
CPRS, Ltd. has recognized the importance of providing affordable, reliable medical physics, quality
assurance, treatment planning and regulatory compliance. We have continued to grow in the scope of services
offered and in the geographical areas served, now supporting over twenty-five radiation oncology centers from
Florida to New England. Internationally, we have served the global marketplace by supporting operations in
France and Jamaica. The CPRS, Ltd. staff has grown to over a dozen physicists, all at the Ph.D. or M.S. level
and who are either Board Certified or eligible for Certification. To augment our service support, we have four
CMD level Dosimetrists working with our qualified Physicists Staff at the regional Treatment Planning Centers.
The Future of Physics in Medicine:
CPRS, Ltd. has worked diligently during the last ten years to develop a quality service strategy that ensures
cost effective support for our clients and compliance with government and insurer’s cost containment requirements.
Our strategy consists of “shared services,” leveraging technology in imaging techniques and the streamlining of
physics service(s). Our On-line Treatment Planning System employs 2D and 3D treatment planning via the internet
to maximize responsiveness and accuracy while minimizing costs. We have begun new initiatives in IMRT physics
and treatment planning. We also have begun a program for expanded Brachytherapy support to our clients. CPRS,
Ltd. has and will continue to seek new ways to provide the highest quality physics and dosimetry services
available in the industry.
